The French Porcelain Society, A transcript of the talk given at the French Porcelain Society Study Day on 17 June 2014. London, 2014. Following a detailed analysis of the factory archives, Peters suggests a new reading of the early date letters. As part of this study, he examines the Vincennes Sales Register entries 1753, 1754 and 1755 for all yellow ground items (p. 15). P. 16 he reviews the group of yellow items previously published by Préaud and d'Albis (La Porcelaine de Vincennes - see below), including this cup: 'The last item shown, a gobelet Bouillard, in the Victoria & Albert Museum with monochrom children with flesh-coloured face, legs and arms is a style of decoration from later in 1754, although this item has crossed Ls with dots and no date letter. This might indicate a marking aberration, but, apart from the mark, the style of painting and large gilt dentils do not suggest Vincennes decoration and it is not universally accepted as genuine. The V & A cup can be contrasted with an A-dated jug in the Wadsworth Atheneum: this jug appears to be identifiable with a pot a lait with 'enf camay chaires coloriés' bought as part of a set on 23 December 1754 and from Firing 9 of July to September 1754. The style of decoration is a distinct step on from the Firing 6 items with monochrome children.'"},{"reference":{"text":"","id":""},"details":"","free":"Tamara Préaud and Antoine d’Albis, La Porcelaine de Vincennes, Editions Adam Biro, Paris, 1991.
