In the lower frieze we see  four Buddhas standing frontally in a line.  On the right appears the protome of an elephant facing right, holding  a child with its trunk (?).  The left arm and left leg and a small outline of the child's head are preserved.\r\nThe four Buddhas alternately support the weight of their bodies on their left or right legs.
