The weft with a jute ground weft on two levels, and chenille pile weft, 7 to the inch.\r\n\r\nWithin a rococo border of ribbon wound round a pole, cartouches and shell forms in pink, fawn, green and yellow on a pale green ground, are four corner pieces with fish and waterfowl against a background of grey and green waves. A strapwork outline decorated with flowers, weed and ornaments, mark off the huge central lozenge of the field where, on a fawn ground, are two reserved lozenges containing deer and trees with intertwining branches, four lozenges of decorative leafy form, two structures containing a nest of young birds with an owl perched above them, all in brown, pink, yellow and fawn, and a central geometric form with a dark brown ground containing game birds.
