The obverse of the medal represents the bust of Heinrich Bullinger and the reverse represents the bust of Rudolf Gwalther. The medal is a combination of two obverses. Versions of both with different reverses are known.\nStampfer (1505-1579) was a Swiss die-cutter, medallist and goldsmith born in Zurich, who worked for the Mint in that city. He produced portait-medals, seals, Schaumünzen (commemorative coins), not only for Zurich but for other Swiss cities and German patrons, such as the Archbishop of Salzburg.
