The soldier mount consists of head and torso only and wears a red jacket with four yellow buttons and a black bearskin. He has a pink face with painted features. The rider is fixed to the horse by means of a long wooden screw extending through the horse's body and through the flat base where there is a square blue bolt on the underside. The toy is pulled by a length of yellow plastic cord.
