Having travelled through France, she crossed the English Channel from Calais on 1 December 1673, arriving at Dover, where she was met by the Duke. After two days in Dover, they journeyed to Gravesend, where, on 6 December, they were greeted by Charles II and a royal progress was made in barges to Whitehall.
