Wentworth was British ambassador\r\nto the King of Prussia, and he chose the\r\nPrussian Royal Architect, Bodt, whose only\r\nBritish work this is. The style is typical of \r\nearly 18th century Franco-Prussian\r\narchitecture, and similar to an unbuilt\r\nPalace Bodt designed for the Elector at\r\nDresden.
