Broders created posters for tourist locations along that route, including mountain resorts around Chamonix, and holiday destinations along the French Mediterranean coast. This poster, advertising a tour of Mont Blanc, was included in the V&A's Art Deco exhibition in 2003. \r\n\r\nThe circular image in this poster draws the viewer into a mountain scene dominated by the snowy alpine peaks, with a small village on the side of the mountain. An open-top automobile climbs up the text swirling around the image. At the time of its production, posters like this worked on people's imaginations; the imagery of far-away places was created in advertising. This image glamourises not only travel, but also the modern machinery that made mass tourism possible.","physicalDescription":"A poster with a circular image of a snowy mountain, with text swirling around the circle.
