This space became Room 110, which is seen here in its original form as an open gallery with views down to the North and South Courts (currently the Temporary Exhibition Galleries), similar to that of Room 111, the upper gallery between the Cast Courts. After the Second World War, Room 110 was boarded up to serve as storage space, but is currently (April 2012) part of a major redevelopment and restoration scheme intended to convert it back into a public gallery space.
