It shows a plan view of the town with all the buildings in elevation with 48 important points marked out by a key.  Astride the coat of arms for the town are two supposedly allegorical figures, one could be the figure of Justice holding a sword and weighing scales and the other is a nude woman holding a palm and balancing an image of the sun on her index finger.  The town of Bois le Duc was one of the major cities in the Duchy of Brabant and it has always been the largest destination in the Netherlands for Marian pilgrims.
