IS (as by Conca); Exhibition Catalogue, <i>Painting in Italy in the eighteenth century: Rococo to Romanticism</i>, Art Institute of Chicago, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Toledo Museum of Art, 1970, p. 222 \r\n\r\nThe shaped outline of the bottom edge shows that the drawing was made as a design for a picture in a decorative scheme. A small oval painting showing the same composition was exhibited at the Hazlitt Gallery, London, June 1963, presumably a reduction of the original picture. It is illustrated in a review of the exhibition in <i>The Burlington Magazine</i>, 105, 1963, p. 227, fig. 37. It was exhibited again in Chicago, Minneapolis and Toledo in 1970 (no. 93 in the catalogue quoted, with illustration.
