These materials often occurred in a particular geographical region. Coral for example was prevalent in Sicily and amber along the Baltic coast. Many of the religious items were portable, as were the small portraits. They were often made locally and then taken elsewhere. Pilgrims from all over Europe bought the jet images made in Santiago de Compostela.","physicalDescription":"Christ rides upon the ass over a paved street towards the castellated gate of Jerusalem, in the background a spire. The Apostles follow him. The scene is framed on either side by columns supporting a flat ogival arch with cusps. Above are pinnacles. The relief is slightly convex and has a pierced background, and with its companion relief A.51-1929 would probably have formed part of a small altar.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Unknown","id":"A1848"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"mother of pearl","id":"AAT11835"}],"techniques":[],"materialsAndTechniques":"Mother of pearl","categories":[{"text":"Christianity","id":"THES48978"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"SCP","id":"THES48600"},"images":["2006AE9238","2017KA0190","2016JL5935","2017KA4382"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"111 (VA)","id":"THES49918"},"free":"","case":"CA002","shelf":"002","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Relief the Entry into Jerusalem","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Germany","id":"x28873"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":"southern"}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1460-1500","earliest":"1460-01-01","latest":"1500-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[{"object":{"text":"A.51-1929","id":"O89002"},"association":""}],"creditLine":"Given by Mr T.
