The frieze is separated from the main scene on the left by a bay leaf garland.  In the four niches of the border, four meditating Buddhas sit under caitya arches - greatly damaged. In the spandrel on the top right a chequered terrace-railing has been inserted with three figures of ladies behind the railing.
