Ltd. under the Tri-ang trademark in the late 1930s. Lines Bros. Ltd. were well known for their large range of dolls' houses, all of which reflected popular taste in domestic architecture and interiors. The geometric modern range were not as popular as the traditional cottages and houses, therefore were not in production for long. However the decorative detail such as the parquet flooring, and fittings such as the electric bulbs, together with the simple streamlined minimalist look of the time reflects the 'real' home in miniature.","physicalDescription":"This house is one of a range of \"Ultra Modern Dolls' Houses\" made by Lines Bros. Ltd. under the Tri-ang Toys trademark in the latter part of the 1930s.It reflects the architectural trends of the time in its design. The house is made from wood painted cream with green doors and metal framed windows and is on a flat grey base made to simulate crazy paving. The roof is flat and there are three rooms, a hall and landing, a garage and a movable suntrap. The garage has a double door which opens outwards with a covered balcony above it. The two large rooms are fitted with fireplaces and electric lights, with parquet flooring. The ground floor front window is a bay which forms a balcony for the bedroom on the upper level.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Lines Bros.
