The majority of the decoration is done in double running stitch, consisting of two main parallel bands of alternating elongated hexagons and eight pointed stars (the latter enclosing a whirling rosette), surrounded by diamonds with S- and Z-shapes. Above and below each of these are two further, narrow bands. \nThe double running stitch is usually over 3 threads, except for the borders where it is over 4. Areas of the bands are decorated further with pulled and drawn thread needlework, with kloster blocks and dove's eye stitch.\n\nThe right hand side of the fabric has a selvedge.
