Dark blue with white, red and yellow stripes. c. 1850.","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"1880 Slip Book states that this garment was received from Arracan in 1855 and goes onto describe it as a man's garment or in local terminology a <font -i>khess</font>. According to Sabah Husain in Sept 1995 this is an Indian term used to describe a shawl like garment thrown over the shoulders by men in cool weather.
