The walls are lined with bookshelves, complete with books.  The bookcases are drawn as flat topped aedicules with Adam Ionic pilasters.  The entablature has a daiper motif which is repeated in the frieze of the ceiling cornice.  Acroterian statuettes are placed above the pilasters with shallow panels of classical reliefs set between.
