The tiles are arranged roughly to simulate a house front. Some of the tiles are flat and some were chiselled in high relief. The earthenware ground is covered in enamel colours, chiefly blue, yellow, gren and white. The relief motifs include repeating diamonds, squares, lenticular forms, pilasters, a cornice, a plantain tree and a lotus roundel. The four and five-colour polychromed panels show lotuses of Sino-Islamic rather than Indian inspiration.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Unknown","id":"A1848"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"terracotta","id":"AAT10670"}],"techniques":[{"text":"fired","id":"AAT53887"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Terracotta glazed bricks","categories":[{"text":"Ceramics","id":"THES48982"},{"text":"Architecture","id":"THES48993"},{"text":"India Museum","id":"THES286062"}],"styles":[{"text":"Sultanate Bengal","id":"x36684"}],"collectionCode":{"text":"SSEA","id":"THES48598"},"images":[],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"004","id":"THES341407"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Tile panel","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Gaur","id":"x32571"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1450 - 1550","earliest":"1450-01-01","latest":"1550-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"82.5","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"45.5","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"The dimensions are that of the panel.","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"Lent by the Royal Asiatic Society of London to the India Museum.
