Griseri, 'Una traccia per il Cambiaso' in <i>Paragone</i>, 7, 1956, no. 75, pp. 16-17, fig. 7b). Griseri attributes the Munich drawing to Cambiaso and connects it with the battle scenes painted by him in the Palazzo Spinola (Prefettura) at Genoa. Licia Ragghianti, on the other hand, ascribes it to Andrea Semino (see her article on the artist's drawings in <i>Critica d'Arte</i>, I, 1954, pp. 133-143, and especially p. 142, footnote no. 8). If the Munich drawing is, in fact, by Semino, then ours is probably by him also. But it is too close to Cambiaso to justify us in upsetting the traditional attribution without stronger evidence. \r\n"}],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Unique","id":"THES48864"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[{"text":"battles","id":"AAT185692"},{"text":"horsemen","id":"x44924"},{"text":"soldiers","id":"AAT185678"},{"text":"riding","id":"AAT249313"}],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["8638H"],"accessionNumberNum":"8638","accessionNumberPrefix":"","accessionYear":null,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2025-04-25","recordCreationDate":"2009-06-30","availableToBook":false}}
