Now ascribed to Empoli on stylistic grounds. Compare the similar drawing of a seated boy in the Uffizi, one of a group of studies of young men in contemporary costume (Exhibition Catalogue, <i>Disegni di Jacopo da Empoli</i>, Uffizi, Florence, 1962, no. 55; fig. 24).
