This square edge is in turn framed by a slightly raised platform with a slanting, slightly rounded rim.\r\n\r\nAt the centre of the dished area, a winged, human-headed lioness is engraved on a scrolling ground framed by a double circle. She wears a three-pointed head-dress and is surrounded by the 'halo of glory'. \r\n The four triangular corners in the spandrels enclose a single foliate scroll.\r\nThe rim is engraved at the corners with lotus-bud-shaped escutcheons and in the centre of each side elongated cartouches frame inscriptions.\r\n\r\nPatina: cleaned off except for some red oxide patches. Possibly an ancient restoration on the underside.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Unknown","id":"A1848"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28674"},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"bronze","id":"AAT10957"}],"techniques":[{"text":"engraved","id":"AAT53829"},{"text":"stamped","id":"x36244"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Stamped bronze plate with engraved decoration.","categories":[{"text":"Islam","id":"THES48932"}],"styles":[{"text":"Persian","id":"AAT19933"}],"collectionCode":{"text":"MES","id":"THES48607"},"images":["2006AJ7255"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"002","id":"THES367331"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Square Tray","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Iran","id":"x30220"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""},{"place":{"text":"Afghanistan","id":"x30023"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":"possibly"}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1100-1200","earliest":"1100-01-01","latest":"1200-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"2.7 - 3.2","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"19 by 19","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[{"content":"","inscriber":{"name":{"text":"","id":""},"association":{"text":"","id":""}},"date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"description":"","interpretation":"","language":"Persian","medium":"","method":"engraved","position":"Cartouches in the centre of the rims","script":"Kufic","translation":"Bliss, divine grace, good fortune intercession A-L, plenitude.
