It is inscribed with the mark of Xuande (the Xuande reign period was 1426-1435), but in fact it dates from the later Wanli period. The bowl is illustrated with the theme of Eight Immortals of the Wine Cup, which derives from Daoist mythology and was a popular subject in Chinese art.","physicalDescription":"Bowl of porcelain enamelled  in leaf green, yellow, tomato red and turquoise green, the designs outlined in red.
