The front of the shrine dedicated to Benten, the goddess of water, is visible, as are the tiled roofs of its various outbuildings. Surrounding these are restaurants and tea-houses. The cherry trees blossoming on and around the island tell us it is spring. The lack of lotuses usually found depicted on the pond makes the island seem more isolated than in most views.
