Here, Chambers depicts the dramatic view of the rocky cliffs rising on either side of the road.","physicalDescription":"View of the Bhor Ghat.  Located on the northern border of Bhor, a former princely state of India, in the Pune political district of the Bombay Presidency, present-day Maharashtra; situated among the higher peaks of the Western Ghats. A pencilled note on the first volume reads 'Hermitage pictures', 'Hermitage' being the name of Chambers' house in Bombay.  A note in the thrid album reads: 'Paintings of Sir Charles Chambers Chief Justice of Bombay grandfather of Margaret Whidborne date about 1823'.
