This portrait appeared in the <i>Graphic</i> in 1886, to accompany a memorial piece following Caldecott's death.\r\n\r\nFor several years, Caldecott and Ulrich lived within seven miles of eachother in Kent, with Ulrich and his wife Sarah living next to the family of Caldecott's wife Marian.
