The petticoat is sleeveless, with a rounded neck front; all the bodice edges are scalloped and buttonhole-stitched in white thread.  The bodice front is embroidered with spot motifs of sprigs of flowers; the skirt is gathered to the waist and finished at the hem with a lace-edged flounce embroidered with a chain of flowers, spots, sprigs of foliage and cutwork.
