The others were Tom Purvis, Fred Taylor, Frank Mason and Frank Newbound. This poster advertised an Exhibition of British Industrial Art in the Home of 1933. Its typography contributes to its strong visual impact. It also shows the increasing influence of Bauhaus-inspired design principles. The letters ‘BIA’ have an architectural feel. They are influenced by László Moholy-Nagy’s emphasis on the three-dimensional primary forms - cone, ball and cube.","physicalDescription":"Colour lithograph poster advertising the exhibition of British Industrial Art in the Home, held at the Dorland Hall, Lower Regent Street, London, 20 June – 12 July 1933.
