Their relationship highlights the key role of the printer in artistic posters. Champénois put Mucha under contract in order to upgrade his business, and to attract prestigious clients, such as Job and Bières de la Meuse. Champénois exerted enormous pressure on Mucha in the process. He also resold Mucha's designs to other clients and printed collector's editions in order to maximise his financial returns.","physicalDescription":"Colour lithograph depicting a woman with long flowing hair holding a tankard filled with frothy beer.
