It was organised by Hendrikus Wijdeveld and held at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam in 1931. Wright’s work found a receptive audience among Dutch and German architects. Wijdeveld, a Dutch architect, writer and editor, was one of Wright’s main European supporters. In 1925 he compiled a lavish book on Wright and in 1931 helped to circulate his exhibition around Europe.
