This turquoise and mauve garment is an example of the vibrant style. The decoration consists of three huge mythical phoenixes flying amid peonies and 'long life' characters.","physicalDescription":"Manchu woman's full-length robe (<i>chengyi</i>) of blue silk satin. The robe is a silk satin 8 ground with the weft pattern bound in twill (3/1). The supplementary wefts are in pink, green, turquoise, beige, brown, purple, lavender, gold and silver threads.
