There are three windows in the choir. The main east window is dedicated to the Life of Christ. The two smaller double-lancet (pointed) windows to the north and south are devoted to the Twelve Apostles[DG4].\r\n\r\nNext to the archangel's head is a cluster of vine leaves and a bunch of grapes. These are probably references to the blood of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the Cross for the salvation of humankind. \r\n\r\nA number of the panels from Hauterive left the church in the 19th century. They included a half-length figure of John the Baptist, which is now in the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum in Munich. This probably came from the top of the window on the south side of the choir, thus balancing the archangel on the other side.","physicalDescription":"Window of 2 lights.
