One surround to a door and a low dado is shown in non-gothic style in pencil in another hand. The rest of the design is by Pugin with a panelled dado and panelled surround to the other door, which has an elaborate frieze and cresting above it. Two Renaissance paintings are shown hanging on the wall. This room has not been identified in the house as it existed in 1979. It would seem that the large room to the south of the great hall, which became the library, was originally two rooms.","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"One of 8 sheets of designs for mural and ceiling decoration of Leighton Hall, Welshpool; by A.W.N.
