The design depicts a full length female figure wearing a late 1820's style costume adapted for ballet performance.  The costume consists of  grey and lilac high necked overdress with puffed sleeves and flounces at the hem, worn over a grey underskirt.  The figure also wears a brooch at the throat, and a cap with lappets on her head.  To the right of the figure are two black & white photocopies of portraits of Elizabeth Branwell, and to the left is a black & white photocopy of a photograph of an 1828 dress from the Textiles & Dress Collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum (T.151-1968).  Printed graphics for \"The Brontes\" and \"Northern Ballet Theatre\" have been glued by the artist into the corners of the design.  The design has also been stamped by the \"Society of British Theatre Designers\", and \"Mayer and Eden\".
