The faceted stones simulate the sparkle of diamonds, and the effect can be similar to that of cut steel. The silver plating on the back of this necklace has worn thin and the copper base metal is visible.","physicalDescription":"Thirteen faceted blue paste gems are surrounded by marcasites in silvered copper settings. The centre of each gem is crowned by a marcasite rosette. A matching pendant with a marcasite bow is suspended from the central gem.\r\n\r\nThe ends of the necklace had at some point small silver loops for ribbons added.
