The bridge is named after Maximilien de Béthune, the duke of Sully and was opened in 1877. Designed by engineers Gustave Brosselin and Paul Vaudrey, it was built at a 45 degree angle to the river banks which provides striking views of nearby Notre Dame and Île Saint-Louis.","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Eugène Béjot.
