In this technique, a 'bat' of jellified glue was used to transfer an oily image from a copper plate to the surface of a pot. The sticky print was then dusted with finely ground enamel pigment and fired on. Great subtlety could be achieved.","physicalDescription":"Sugar basin and cover of bone-china with bat-printed decoration in black and gilded. On either sides are panels with landscapes.
