At this time John Dwight discovered the technical secrets of making stoneware at his Fulham pottery. He went on to deal the final blow to this import trade with his much superior home-produced pots.","physicalDescription":"Salt-glazed stoneware bottle (Bartmann) made at Frechen.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Unknown","id":"A1848"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"stoneware","id":"x30197"},{"text":"salt glaze","id":"AAT48635"}],"techniques":[{"text":"glazing (coating)","id":"AAT53914"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Salt-glazed stoneware","categories":[{"text":"Ceramics","id":"THES48982"},{"text":"Stoneware","id":"THES48890"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"CER","id":"THES48594"},"images":["2008BT8804","2006AW2798","2006AT1881"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"137","id":"THES49876"},"free":"","case":"52","shelf":"3","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Bottle","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"No","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Frechen","id":"x35212"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 1650-1680","earliest":"1645-01-01","latest":"1680-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Given by R.
