A soldier in armour and basinet grasps the right arm of Christ with his left hand and with his right holds the handle of his sword. Behind him stand two more soldiers, one holding a torch, the other a shield which rests on the ground. On the left of the panel is St. Peter holding a sword pointing down, with a bearded figure next to him. Stretched out on a lower piece of ground is the figure of Malchus wearing a low-belted doublet. His left hand is raised; with his right he holds a staff.\r\n\r\nThe surface of the panel is badly weathered. The top left corner and the lower left edge are missing. The left leg of the soldier in the foreground is missing. There is a hole through the panel in the top centre. No paint remains on the panel. The back of the panel is scratched. There are three lead-plugged holes, one with the remains of a latten wire.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Unknown","id":"A1848"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"alabaster","id":"AAT11101"}],"techniques":[{"text":"carving","id":"AAT53149"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Carved alabaster","categories":[{"text":"Christianity","id":"THES48978"},{"text":"Religion","id":"THES48900"},{"text":"Sculpture","id":"THES48896"}],"styles":[{"text":"Medieval","id":"AAT20756"}],"collectionCode":{"text":"SCP","id":"THES48600"},"images":["2006AH4665","2006AD0938"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"009","id":"THES333489"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Panel","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"England","id":"x28826"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"15th century","earliest":"1400-01-01","latest":"1500-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Given by Dr W.
