Made in two sections and a central tube over which the second section fits when closed. The container is made of stiff card covered with pasted straw splints (veneer); the sides are striped in green and purple, with green and red on the inner tube. The top and bottom are covered with natural straw into which dyed pieces are laid to make floral patterns reminiscent of Berlin Wool work designs, while the bottom show stylised geometrical flowers.
