By the mid-1930s she was acclaimed as a leading free-lance textile designer and in 1934 founded her own firm, Marion Dorn Ltd..  In 1940 she returned to the USA.\r\n\r\nThe Old-Bleach Linen Company Ltd of Randalstown, Northern Ireland,was established in 1870 by C J Webb and produced embroidery, dress and furnishing linens, damask table linens and embroidered goods.  It published the journal 'Embroideress' in conjunction with James Pearsall & Co. Ltd., manufacturers of embroidery yarns and knitting wools. \r\nThis fabric was used in the lounge of the ocean liner 'Orcades'.","physicalDescription":"Furnishing fabric of screen-printed linen and rayon.
