Thus grand architecture, a horse and carriage, a dancer and a huqqa pipe are some of the elements which convey the historical context of the film.","physicalDescription":"The front cover has a grey coloured background with a black fine-line drawing of a living room interior in the foreground, showing a small table with a bottle and glass on it, along with a man seated on a chaise-lounge watching a dancer. In the background the line drawing is of the exterior of a grand house with columns and arches, a tree and a horse and carriage. Superimposed on top of the entire cover is a more stylised line-drawing in white, starting from the right hand side there is a horse and carriage, in the centre is a dancer and at her feet is a huqqa pipe which is being held by the seated man (in the black line drawing), and on the left hand side is another woman holding what looks like various bottles in her hands. The title is in white in the top right hand corner. \r\n\r\nIn the inside cover is a synopsis of the film in English. There are eight pages in the booklet, five of them have a synopsis of the film and song lyrics in Hindi and the other three plus the inside back cover have the equivalent in Urdu.\r\n\r\nThe back cover has the film credits and on the left hand side four black and white stills of the main stars, Meena Kumari, Guru Dutt, Waheeda Rehman and Rehman.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Pamart","id":"A6284"},"association":{"text":"maker","id":"AAT251917"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"Paper","id":"x30308"},{"text":"Printing ink","id":"AAT187371"}],"techniques":[{"text":"Lithography","id":"AAT53271"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Lithograph on paper","categories":[{"text":"Entertainment & Leisure","id":"THES48959"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"SSEA","id":"THES48598"},"images":["2006AL3692"],"imageResolution":"low","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"008","id":"THES394725"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Indian Film Booklet","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Bombay","id":"x30829"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1962","earliest":"1962-01-01","latest":"1962-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[{"object":{"text":"IS.108-1986","id":"O68180"},"association":""}],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"14","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"21.6","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Indian film booklet for the film 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam' (1962), graphic, printed, paper, India, C20","bibliographicReferences":[{"reference":{"text":"","id":""},"details":"","free":"Rachel Dwyer and Divia Patel, Cinema India: The Visual Culture of the Hindi Film Industry, Reaktion Press, 2002."},{"reference":{"text":"","id":""},"details":"","free":"Patel, Divia; Arts of Asia, vol. 45, no. 5, September - October 2015, \"Engaging with Contemporary South Asia\", p.86, no. 20."}],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Mass produced","id":"THES48863"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[{"text":"horse","id":"x34864"},{"text":"carriage","id":"AAT185335"},{"text":"dancer","id":"AAT25653"},{"text":"Huqqa-smokers","id":"x31685"},{"text":"figures","id":"AAT189808"}],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[{"text":"Song Booklets\r\n\r\nSong booklets are unique to Indian cinema.
