From the late 1920s designs were increasingly abstract and more muted in colour. Textural effects began to assume more importance. The firm of Rodier gained a reputation for creating eye-catching woven fabrics, usually in monochrome or subtle hues. The firm was best known for its fine woollen goods. These included dress fabric with African motifs shown at the Paris exhibition of 1925 and sheer cloth for curtains.","physicalDescription":"Grey and white with chevron motifs.
