His right hand, which is now missing, may have been raised in a teaching or compassionate <i>mudra</i>.  He holds a small pot in his left hand which rests on the cloth covering the throne that has baluster-shaped legs.  The figure has a moustache and a circular urna on his forehead and a fine wavy line for his continuous eyebrow above his cast-down eyes. His hair is arranged in parallel ridges of curled locks with a small raised <i>ushnisha</i> above.  He is wearing a robe looped over his left shoulder. across his torso and over his knees carved with lines of classically-derived folds. His eyes are cast down. He wears a patterned torque together with a cylindrical amulet on long strings round his neck.
