Animal impersonation was a highly developed skill and 19th and 20th century performers were mostly specialists with their own costumes who moved from one production to another.   \r\n\r\nSadie Corre was such a performer in the 1950s,1960s and 1970s. She first performed as a pantomime cat in 1949 and went on to appear in a wide range of venues, including the London Palladium with Norman Wisdom (1960), and Wimbledon Theatre, where she last played the Cat in <i>Dick Whittington</i> in 1971.
