This waistcoat debuted as part of Ozbek’s Autumn/Winter 1992 collection – the same year he was awarded  ‘British Designer of the Year’ by the British Fashion Council for a second time. The collection featured Ozbek's reimagining of classic men's tailoring, the cut and ornmentation recalling military uniforms; unexpected flourishes came in the form of colour-blocked velvet and feather adornments, with looks further feminised by the juxtaposition of a body-conscious bottom-half, achieved via leggings, high-waisted shorts, or slim-fit  pencil skirts. The waistcoat  was modelled by Naomi Campbell on the catwalk worn open over a white shirt and thin black tie, with black leggings and white ankle boots.
