They include a poster for the film `Algiers' [1938] starring Charles Boyer and Hedy Lamarr, displayed above the arcade entrance to the `Regal' cinema. There is a sign outside a tobacconist's saying `Gold Flake'. On the panels of the bus are advertisements for toothpaste [`Have you Macleans'] and for tyres [`Fort Dunlop']. The buses look like the RT vehicles built by AEC and put in service from August 1939.","briefDescription":"Pen and ink drawing showing a busy central  London street, by Daniel Moiseiwitsch, about 1941.","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Unique","id":"THES48864"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[{"text":"London","id":"x28980"}],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[{"text":"buses","id":"AAT212677"},{"text":"bus stops","id":"AAT3837"}],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["E.1659-2001"],"accessionNumberNum":"1659","accessionNumberPrefix":"E","accessionYear":2001,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2025-04-12","recordCreationDate":"2002-02-07","availableToBook":false}}
