The tallest window shows the Virgin and Child situated above worshipping angels offering gifts. The windows on either side show the biblical characters of Eve and Ruth on one side and David and Isaiah on the other. The designs are drawn in pen and ink and watercolour on a large piece of cream-coloured paper mounted on a piece of rectangular, cream-coloured card with a grey frame. The frame is attached to the back of the mount with masking tape. There is a slight pencil sketch of diagonal, straight lines on the back of the mount.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Bell, John Clement","id":"A5923"},"association":{"text":"designer","id":"AAT25190"},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Clayton & Bell","id":"A5966"},"association":{"text":"manufacturers","id":"AAT25230"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"ink","id":"AAT15012"},{"text":"watercolour","id":"x33202"},{"text":"wove paper","id":"AAT14187"},{"text":"gum arabic","id":"AAT12869"}],"techniques":[{"text":"painting","id":"x30598"},{"text":"drawing","id":"x32498"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Pen and ink and watercolour with gum arabic on wove paper, mounted on card","categories":[{"text":"Designs","id":"THES48968"},{"text":"Stained Glass","id":"THES48891"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"PDP","id":"THES48595"},"images":["2014GY1271"],"imageResolution":"low","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"LVLD","id":"THES49658"},"free":"","case":"CG","shelf":"77","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Design for stained glass","id":"THES277590"}],[{"text":"Designs","id":"AAT102051"}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"London","id":"x28980"},"association":{"text":"designed","id":"x29338"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1917-1925","earliest":"1917-01-01","latest":"1925-12-31"},"association":{"text":"designed","id":"x29338"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Given by The Ashmolean Museum from the estate of the late Brian Miller","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"32.6","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"without mount","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"21.2","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"without mount","note":""},{"dimension":"Height","value":"45","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"framed","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"29.7","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"framed","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[{"content":"'John Clement Bell for Clayton & Bell'","inscriber":{"name":{"text":"","id":""},"association":{"text":"","id":""}},"date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"description":"","interpretation":"","language":"","medium":"Pencil","method":"Handwriting","position":"Top of back of mount.","script":"","translation":"","transliteration":"","type":"Signature","note":"Signature; Top of back of mount.; Handwriting; Pencil"},{"content":"'From / R.L.
