They illustrate passages from the Bible concerning the lives of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. None of them is smaller than ten feet high by thirteen feet wide. They belong to Her Majesty the Queen and have been on loan to this museum since 1865. The earliest print relating to the Raphael Cartoons dates from 1516, the year in which Raphael received final payment for the commission. It inaugurates an extraordinary case study in the history of printmaking, stretching over more than four hundred and fifty years and across a wide range of printmaking techniques. This print is in reverse of the tapestry and therefore is in the same direction as the cartoon from which it derives.","physicalDescription":"Ananias lies on the ground centre right of the foreground. To the left a man and woman react in horror. On a raised platform in the centre background a group of men stand, Saint Peter in the middle passing judgement on Ananias. In the background to the left people are carrying goods or counting money and on the right a man is handing money over to one of the men on the platform. A couple leave via steps to the right of the background; over the staircase is a window through which an onlooker watches the scene. Through a square opening on the left is a landscape with tree.\n\nThis print is in the same direction as the cartoon from which it is derived and is faithful in compositional detail.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Foggo, George","id":"A37008"},"association":{"text":"printmaker","id":"AAT25164"},"note":""},{"name":{"text":"Raphael","id":"A5306"},"association":{"text":"artist","id":"AAT25103"},"note":"after"}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Engelmann, Graf, Coindet & Co.","id":"A5157"},"association":{"text":"Printed and published","id":"x38483"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"printing ink","id":"AAT187371"},{"text":"paper","id":"x30308"}],"techniques":[{"text":"lithography","id":"AAT53271"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"lithograph on paper","categories":[{"text":"Prints","id":"THES48903"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"PDP","id":"THES48595"},"images":["2006BE0675"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"LVLD","id":"THES49658"},"free":"","case":"EO","shelf":"150","box":"A"}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"print","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"London","id":"x28980"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1828","earliest":"1828-01-01","latest":"1828-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[{"object":{"text":"ROYAL LOANS.5","id":"O1069358"},"association":"Source"}],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"45.8","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"sheet","note":""},{"dimension":"Width","value":"66.3","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"sheet","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[{"content":"G.
