Architect John Adam became a partner in 1763, with his brothers James and Robert. John Adam (1712-92) became a partner in 1763 and with his brothers James (1732-94) and Robert produced a series of elegant railings, stoves, fireplaces surrounds and hob-grates with panels of relief decoration.
