All the glassware was made by Stuart & Sons.  This pattern, 'Rain', was the only one taken into the company's pattern books, excepting those by the company's own designer Ludwig Kny. The ceramics and glassware made for the experiment under the direction of T.A.Fennemore of Brain & Co. were shown first at Harrods in 1934 and then more fully at the exhibition 'British Art in Industry', Royal Academy, London, 1935.  The drawing for this glass is annotated in Nash's handwriting 'Could you make a yellow glass on this principle.
